美國加州樂高主題樂園 Legoland California

樂高主題樂園目前有四個, 分別位於

     一) 丹麥( 樂高發源地)

     二 ) 英國溫莎(倫敦西方Legoland Windsor)

     三) 美國加州(Legoland California)

     四) 德國

美國加州樂高主題樂園佔地一二八英畝, 於一九九九年三月開幕。

以下將介紹美國加州樂高主題樂園。

The first Legoland, Billund theme park is in Denmark,near Copenhagen. The second Legoland is located just west of London, England and is called Legoland, Windsor. The third Lego theme park,  Legoland, California,   opened in March 1999, in Carlsbad, California (just north of San Diego). The fourth one is in Germany.

Legoland California  is a 128-acre theme park largely constructed out of  ----- guess what? Lego blocks. Legoland California is in Carlsbad, one hour south of Anaheim, half an hour north of San Diego.

Some of the creations here are so realistic that it'll make you wonder.

Geared to younger children,Duplo Playtown offers slides,climbing structures and other playground apparatus    themed to Duplo blocks.

Sky Cruiser: This is one of Legoland's most popular rides, running on a track above Fun Town.Legoland suggests riding it when the park first opens or at the end of the day when it's less busy.

Another Rider-Powered Ride

Passengers also provide the muscle for the Kid Power Towers.

Volvo Driving School:You don't have to be 16 to get your driver's license at Legoland. Kids 6 to 13 can hop in the driver's seat of real electric cars to earn an official Legoland driver's license at the Volvo Driving School,  which is right behind this LEGO-brick policeman.For the younger set aged 3 to 5,Volvo Junior Driving School is right next door.

Right of Way

TheVolvo Driving School gives older kids the opportunity to learn road rules and get the feel for the real thing.
 

Whirly Kids

Lego-ized helicopters take kids for a ride on the Sky Patrol.
 

It's a Snap

At the Lego Clubhouse, kids and parents can build projects together.
 

Class Is in Session

Instructors lead a class in Legoland's Imagination Zone. Guests can sign up for sessions.

This Place Looks like Fun

Coast Cruise : This gentle ride is a good way to see everything along the lakeshore and in Miniland without  getting tired feet.

Coastersaurus:This metal-railed roller coaster goes up to 21 miles per hour, around a jungle of animated and life-sized LEGO brick dinsaurs.

Aquazone : This ride is almost as much fun for the spectators as it is for the riders. Riders take a Power ski through the waves, but the lookers-on get to launch surprise blasts of water at them.

Making a Splash

The Aquazone Wave racers can get a bit turbulent.

Passengers aboard the Splash Battle ride at Legoland's Pirate Shores area can fire water cannons at other  boats and at guests lining the perimeter.

Riders mount Lego steeds for The Royal Joust.

Royal Joust: Located across from the Medieval Castle. The kids ride a LEGO horse through an enchanged   forest, complete with jousting LEGO knights.

Test Subjects

The Lego Technic Test Track roller coaster is one of Legoland's more daring rides.

Showtime

4D movies featuring Lego characters are shown in the Lego Show Place.
 

Legoland provides a Build and Test lab for guests to create motorized Lego models.

The Legonator

Lego busts of famous folks, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, line a path at Legoland California.

Legoland California is the only LEGO theme park in the US.  The original is in Denmark, birthplace of the famous toy building blocks.(The word "Lego" was invented in 1932,and blends two Danish words meaning "play well" in Latin,it translates as "I assemble".) Other Lands of LEGO are located in Windsor England, not far from London , and in Germany.

Legoland California--in Carlsbad,one hour south of Anaheim/ Disneyland, or half an hour north of San Diego--has been picked by Forbes as "one of the best theme parks in the world",and is both a 128-acre shrine to Lego blocks and a theme park with over 50 rides and attractions. 

Designed as a"country just for kids"aged two to twelve,Legoland has rides including a Dragon roller coaster, and mini-lands such as Ancient Egypt made from some of park's 30 million Lego blocks.

Legoland has special attractions for 2-year-olds 3-5 year-olds (such as Volvo Jr.Driving School), 6-13-year-olds, and rides for the whole family. Though the focus is on younger kids, teens can book a session at MINDSTORMS,where they can build robots in a program created with MIT.

Legoland California is not the world's only Legoland: the original is in Denmark, the birthplace of the toy building blocks. Other Lego Lands are located in Windsor,England, and Germany.
